Prof. Dr. Wolfgang G. Locher, an alumni director of the Institute of Medical History, will guide you to the sites of three historical buildings. The tour starts at the Anatomy Institute (our venue) and continues to the Surgery Clinic, and Polyclinic in the very close neighborhood. Participants can appreciate the architecture as well as interesting stories about the development of medicine in the capital of Bavaria. Oktoberfest was established in 1810 for the wedding of King Ludwig I to Princess Therese of Saxony.
